I believe in lifelong learning and am always eager to absorb new information and skills. I love running, going to the theater, watercolor painting, and cooking or baking.

Keeping a positive outlook and being optimistic is important to me. I’m the annoying friend who looks for the best in situations rather than letting you just rant about a problem. My favourite definition of an Optimist is someone who figures taking a step backwards after taking one forwards isn’t a disaster – it’s more like a cha-cha! That definitely sums it up for me!

Doing right by others and spending quality time with friends and family are things I find important. Outside of work, I enjoy watching movies, live music, going to the theatre and am an avid football and tennis fan.

I have a passion for continual learning through new experiences. From attempting a new cuisine to moving to a new country, I feel the best way to grow is to put yourself in situations you haven’t had opportunity to before.

The last few years have made me realise the importance of making time for the things that truly matter. That means spending time with my loved ones and making the most of what London has to offer by enjoying as many exhibitions, performances and walks as I can!

Making sure my loved ones and I are happy, healthy, and well taken care of is one of my top priorities in life. I love expressing my creativity through cooking and baking, but when I’m not in the kitchen you can find me roller skating with my friends, reading a good novel, tending to my many houseplants, or hiking in one of our local Bay Area Redwood parks with my dog.

Beyond the workplace, I’m a massive cooking geek and love experimenting and perfecting my food game. I can sous vide the perfect 63 degree egg, brew kombucha and cure my own salmon.

A few things important to me are friends, family and food. I can usually be found sampling the delights London has to offer, be it food, drink or experiences… or just watching the football.

Fostering an overall sense of wellbeing for myself and others is important to me. I love to spend my free time with friends doing just about anything, especially wine tasting (living in wine country – San Francisco – facilitates that!). I also value my solo time and am an avid reader and crossword puzzle enthusiast.

To me, the most important thing is time; time spent together with my family and friends. I love to enjoy the outdoors, whether that’s swimming in the sea, running in the hills or even glamping on holiday.

I’m a great believer that openness and vulnerability are key to forming positive, productive relationships; something I’m striving to improve at. When I’m not chasing a pre-schooler around, you’ll find me delving into my increasingly uncool record collection, hunting down London’s best fried chicken or questioning why I ever decided to support Crystal Palace.

Forming genuine, trusting relationships with others is essential to me. A few things I love are socialising, cooking and football – but I’d rather play football than watch it, it’s all in my control then!

Number one for me is family, although my boys are now pretty independent and it’s a bit of a wrench to find myself with a newly empty nest! The freedom and flexibility to ride my bike and travel more does make up for it a bit.

I am a life-long learner and am always trying to grow, both as a creator and as a person. In my spare time I like to play video games, attend concerts, support the Los Angeles Dodgers and Angel City FC, and watch as many movies and shows as I possibly can.

The idea of community and collective responsibility is important to me – appreciating that ‘no man is an island’ and we should all be doing our part to help, raise and support others. Outside of work I try to live playfully, as inspired by my kids. Whether it’s splashing in muddy puddles, scooting down a hill or painting our faces.

At the risk of sounding appallingly cheesy, treating people with kindness and fairness is important to me; I cannot stand injustice or cruelty. I love to wander around new cities, as well as read, sit in my garden, support Liverpool FC, drink margaritas and eat Japanese food.

Spending time with my family is paramount to me. I love to stay active and regularly go running so I can keep up with my growing children!

Being healthy and happy are the two most important things to me and that I would wish for others. I also love being outdoors and am a keen runner, having recently completed my second marathon.

I value curiosity above any other characteristic. For example, while I wrote this, sat in a car outside a church hall, waiting to pick up my son from drama club, I saw a man holding a large circuit board. He walked into the carpark, looked round in confusion, and left again. Why? I will never know. My favourite hobby is seeing things like that.

I love creative problem-solving: from creating retro video-games using outdated software, to rock climbing on the cliffs and mountains around the Pacific Northwest, I enjoy anything that tests both my creativity and logic.
